The Canadian Women’s Chamber of Commerce (CanWCC) is the only chamber of commerce in Canada to specifically represent and advocate for woman-identified and gender-expansive entrepreneurs, founders, and business owners. CanWCC’s advocacy work applies an intersectional and inclusive lens to systemic inequalities. Launched in 2018, CanWCC provides its members with support, resources, and a chance to be heard on issues that affect them and their businesses.
With our Partner Program, CanWCC seeks to build meaningful, mutually-successful relationships with values-driven organizations. To do so, we have created a process that both provides transparency to program applicants and structure to internal decision-making. We look for partners who believe in our advocacy and are prepared to support it with actions, not just words. We ask our Trusted Partners to share our information and/or introduce us to their team, with the hope that they join our free community. The more supporters we have, the more our calls for economic equity are amplified.
More than ever, consumers expect the businesses they spend with to stand for values they care about. Our partner badge tells the world you're committed to gender equity.
We hope you'll see the benefit of promoting us and our work beyond your internal community. We invite our Trusted Partners' allyship by participating in our International Women's Day events and more.
Q: If I am already a Trusted Partner, can I apply to stay on as a Trusted Partner for 2025?
A: Absolutely, we encourage you to reapply. We know that many businesses continue to work on their diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, and so this brief application gives you the opportunity to update us on what you’ve changed and what progress you’ve made at your organization. Initiatives like these are never truly ‘completed’ and we look for partners who are actively responding to the changing needs of the employment market and gender justice initiatives as they develop in real time.
Q: If my organization is not accepted as a partner, are there any other opportunities to connect with CanWCC members and community?
A: Yes, we do accept sponsorship requests and have prepared a rate card for advertising and sponsorship opportunities.
Q: How do you consider the information provided in the Trusted Partner application form?
A: We have a guide for elaborating on our considerations, including some background information and our explanation as to why it's important to us. See the webpage for more information (or insert link here).
Q: Is partner participation required, or can they choose which initiatives and deliverables they engage in with CanWCC?
A: We do expect our Trusted Partners to walk the talk. Showcasing the CanWCC partner badge comes with a duty to support our values and work in a non-performative way. However, we truly consider ourselves a partner in helping you accomplish real and valuable change within your organization. It’s a partnership that you can be proud of and that will elevate your organization amongst employers and competitors.
Q: Do you put partner logos on the CanWCC website?
A: Yes, we update our partnerships page every year with the new cohort of Trusted Partner logos. Your logo will be back linked to your website.
Q: If my organization is not chosen as a Trusted Partner, are there other options for getting involved with CanWCC?
A: Yes, absolutely! We welcome Corporate Sponsors, and have several opportunities for sponsorship. Consider sponsoring a series of panel discussions, subsidizing a mastermind group for our members, or sponsoring memberships for women business owners. All these opportunities would be widely promoted by our comms team and get you the attention you deserve.
Q: If my organization is not chosen as a Trusted Partner, are there other options for getting involved with CanWCC?
A: Yes, there are other ways. Consider becoming a corporate sponsor for one or several of our initiatives, such as sponsoring a mastermind group, a panel discussion, or participate in our equity pricing model by sponsoring memberships for women-owned businesses.
